The process begins with a telephonic consultation with one of the Partners. We discuss your project and set up the first introductory meeting either at our office in Worli, Mumbai or the meeting can be held over a video call. During this meeting we will understand your requirements in greater detail and will also take you through a presentation of our systems and latest work. We will also answer all your questions concerning design, project management, budgets and timelines.
Absolutely. As one of the best interior designers in India, we have been serving clients located around India and the world and have successfully completed many such projects. Most of the processes remain exactly the same as if your project were located locally in Mumbai.
We begin the design process with a thorough understanding of your requirement as well as your preffered style. This is then followed by a concept presentation during which we present you with three different design concepts. In the unlikely event that you are not happy with any of the concepts that we have shown you, we will be happy to work on additional concepts, at no additional charge.
The initial consultation would occur either at our office or over a video call. This would apply to subsequent meetings as well.
Based upon the concepts that you have approved, our team will visit showrooms and shortlist materials such as tiles, fabrics, veneers, laminates, paint shades etc. We will then prepare a mood board for you that you can see in our office. If you prefer to visit any vendor with a designer, that can also be arranged.
Our meticulous design process is structured in a manner so as to give shape to the design gradually, allowing the concept to crystallize progressively in your mind. The culmination of the design process is the 3D views of the interiors. This provides you a definitive understanding of what the final outcome will look like before on site execution begins.
Renovation costs vary widely, but broadly depend upon two main things. The existing state of the apartment and the style that you like. If the apartment that you have purchased has the flooring, bathrooms, kitchen, wall finishes and electricals already provided, the interior fit-out costs would be much less that for an apartment that is in a bare shell condition. Also, as a general rule luxurious styles tend to cost more than simpler styles.
If you opt for Nitido Design’s turnkey contracting service, you will receive a detailed estimate subsequent to approval of the 3D views. If you prefer to work with your own contractor, we will provide him with all the drawings and he will prepare the estimate for the project.
With our turnkey service, you get a very thorough and detailed BOQ for all the interior work as well as for the loose furniture pieces. We will also estimate the cost of the materials that would be required for the project. Our team would then use this estimate as a guideline when purchasing materials and selecting finishes. In case designs change along the way, you will be updated on the commercial implications of the same before our team proceeds to execute the work on the site. Together, these systems help ensure that budgets are broadly adhered to.
Our fees are charged lumpsum. The fees would depend upon the scope of work, size of the property and estimated time commitments. We would be able to quote you for the same subsequent to our first meeting.
Different payment options are available and our accounts manager would be happy to provide you with the necessary guidance.
Yes, we offer full project financing with convenient EMI’s through our finance partners Blacksoil capital.
This would depend upon a number of factors such as size of the apartment or villa and also on the existing state of the property. However as a ballppark guideline, the design phase can take between one and two months for an apartment and two and four months for a villa. Fit-outs for an apartment with existing flooring, wall finishes and bathrooms would usually take between three and four months. Interior renovation for a bare shell apartment would usually take approximately six months.
You would need to set aside no more than one or two hours a week to approve designs, approve selection of materials and to review progress.
When a client chooses our turnkey services, our team will prepare a construction schedule for the entire duration of the project as well as a material delivery schedule. Our site supervisor, designer in charge and project manager would then generate periodic progress reports and ensure compliance with timelines.

Yes. We also work with external contractors. In such case we will provide all the necessary drawing sets and carry out periodic site visits.
No. Since we offer a premium service all of our input costs are included within the quoted rates.
Absolutely. Though we are always happy to suggest good vendors as are required for the project, we are also most happy to select materials from the vendors of your choice.
Yes. However, we do not hire local contractors and agencies and will send our construction teams from Mumbai. As one of the best interior designers in Mumbai, this is the only way in which we can guarantee that quality standards are maintained and that timelines are observed. In such case, outstation charges would be applicable in addition to our standard rates.
Depending upon the nature of the project, the size of the spaces available and budgets we suggest either customized manufactured furniture or imported furniture or in some cases a combination of the two.
